Types of yoga I teach

My promise to all students:
Each class I teach will be filled with kindness, warmth, and imagery.  I will see you with soft eyes.
I will get to know the person behind the poses, meet you where you're at, and offer you individualized options.
I will encourage you to listen to your inner wisdom, as the best teacher in the room is always the teacher within.

Sun Vinyasa Yoga

My Sun Vinyasa Yoga classes build heat through a hybrid of flowing sequences, some longer holds, and strength-building, with attention to safe alignment and breath.

Moon Vinyasa Yoga

My Moon Vinyasa Yoga classes are designed to be a cooling practice, focusing on building mobility and strength gently, dialling down the nervous system, and reducing inflammation — perfect for yogis with Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, or other autoimmune conditions that affect connective tissue, and for those with Fibromyalgia (or for anyone who's in the mood for some gentle movement).

Inspired by the latest science on biomechanics and best practices for reducing inflammation, these classes combine sequences of gentle, flowing movements; longer holds of some poses to build strength without taxing joints; restorative poses; and cooling breathing exercises.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a soothing, healing form of yoga that involves a sequence of fully-supported poses done lying on the mat, held for a much longer time than in other types of yoga.  The use of props to support the pose (bolsters or cushions, blankets, straps, blocks) facilitates the deep release of tension, allowing the nervous system to relax.
